Although Kodak Easyshare Z1085 is chubby, it is only a few millimetres thicker than the other cameras, Panasonic is shorter than all the cameras in the test. The camera body is made of plastic, but still is a solid impression with its black, the carpet surface and rubberized grip.
The camera has a built-in optical image stabilization, a big advantage. Lcd-screen is the standard 2.5 inches and displays sharp images. The camera is also equipped with manual modes for creative photography, even if the opportunities are somewhat limited. The start is standard with its 2.3 seconds. The rapid auto focus provides, in most cases, well targeted pictures. But you will have to wait infinitely long time between the images. The first two, three pictures are relatively quickly, but do you want to continue taking photos, you'll wait up to five, sometimes seven seconds before you can take the next picture. ![]() An odd detail is the sounds on the camera. Turn Monday to your ear, it sounds as noice of water, as a watertap which coils in the room next to it. The image quality is average. The lens delivers good sharpness but show some distortion in widescreen mode. In contrast, the optical image effective and made a difference in our tests.
