Elonex Webbook

Elonex Webbook - cheap in several ways

One of the challengers to the more traditional PC suppliers are British Elonex, with a netbook with the appropriate name Webbook. It is one of two computers in the test that do not use Intel's Atom processor running, but with the slightly older C7-M from Via. The specifications is comparable with other similar computers. Memory, hard drive, screen size and resolution are the same as the excellent Asus ASUS Eee PC 1000H. This while the price of Elonex computer is very advantageous.

So how do when Webbook meet the competition? Not very good, it turns out. It is clear that Via fallen behind in processing the fight. Our performance tests gives around 40 per cent lower result.

Furthermore, Elonex Webbook has an unusual plastic construction with the sad feeling of the keyboard and mouse buttons, and despite a battery of the smaller model as it weighs over 1.4 kilograms.
