Canon IXUS 970 digital camera

Ixus 970 IS starts quickly. Just over two seconds will it take for your first picture is in place. The auto focus may be classified as normalsnabb and focuses on a half seconds. With prefocusing exposed the picture immediately when you press down. The time you will have to wait between shots is relatively short: two seconds until you can take the next picture. The most distinctive feature of the Canon Ixus 970 IS are the original design.

Curves lines in all directions gives a very special appearance. It is well in hand, and you will easily access all buttons and controls with one hand. The good news is that the camera has preserved the optical viewfinder - rare among today's compact. It is an aim and press camera, but with situationselector set to manual, you can make a limited number of settings that to change ISO, white balance and exposure compensation.

The image quality is well-behaved, in line with previous Ixus models. Up to ISO 400 is the noise under control even if you can imagine some cows in the motives contours. At ISO 800 noise starts to become noticeable and disturbing. Iso 1600 delivers images with ugly noise. Some color is present, but they are not particularly disturbing. Image stabilisation helps, but not always. In several cases, we were blurry photos because of shaking hands, despite the fact that stabilization was turned on.  Source: IDG
